What this policy covers

This policy describes how the StratOS Optimizer Chrome extension (the "Extension") handles data when you use it.

What data the Extension stores

The Extension uses your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) to remember things between sessions, including:

• The panel's mode, position, and last-active page
• Strategy parameters loaded from TradingView and the optimization ranges you configure
• Optimization results from your runs
• Saved presets, setfiles, and full-session snapshots
• Companion App URL and, if you set one, your local admin token
• A cached copy of our public Featured backtests feed

All of the above is stored locally on your device only. None of it is uploaded to us or shared with third parties.

What data the Extension transmits

• Featured backtests feed. The Extension fetches a public JSON file from *.stratos-trading.com containing curated example backtests. This is a one-way GET request that contains no information about you, your strategies, or your usage. It is identical for every user.
• Local Companion App (optional). If you have installed the optional StratOS Companion App, the Extension communicates with it over http://127.0.0.1 — that is, your own machine. No traffic leaves your computer for this.
• TradingView interaction. The Extension reads and writes strategy parameters directly inside the TradingView interface in your browser tab. It does not send any TradingView data to us.

Analytics, cookies, and tracking

The Extension does not use cookies, tracking pixels, third-party analytics, or telemetry of any kind.

Sale or sharing of data

We do not sell, rent, or share any personal data, because we do not collect any.

Permissions and why we ask for them

• storage — to remember your settings, results, and saved presets locally.
• activeTab and scripting — to inject the optimizer panel into your TradingView tab and interact with the page.
• Host access to tradingview.com — the Extension only runs on TradingView, where it reads your strategy parameters and triggers backtests in your browser.
• Host access to 127.0.0.1 / localhost — to communicate with the optional Companion App on your own machine.
• Host access to *.stratos-trading.com — to fetch the public Featured backtests feed.

Children's privacy

The Extension is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Deleting your data

Because everything is stored locally, you can delete all data the Extension has stored by either:

• Uninstalling the Extension via chrome://extensions, or
• Visiting chrome://extensions, clicking Details on StratOS Optimizer, then Site settings → Clear data.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date at the top of the page and post the new version at the same URL.
